Dornoch Distillery Company (“we” or “us”) takes user privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy (our “Policy”) governs the manner in which Dornoch Distillery Company collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each a “User”) of the http://www.dornochdistillery.com/ website, mobile website and other websites offered by Dornoch Distillery Company (each a “Site”), as well as any products, services, features, content and applications offered by Dornoch Distillery Company (together with the Sites, the “Services”). We encourage Users to read this Policy carefully. By visiting the Site and/or using the Services, you are agreeing and consenting to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with all or part of this Policy, or do not wish to be bound by it, you are not authorised to visit the Site, and use the Services.

We may collect Users’ Personal Data, and further Process those Personal Data, as set out below. Third parties may also provide Dornoch Distillery Company with Personal Data about Users. Such Personal Data will be Processed in accordance with this Policy.

Collection of Personal Data

Dornoch Distillery Company may collect Personal Data from Users or their devices when they: visit any Services, register to use any Services, use any Services, download any Services, contact us by mail, phone, email or any other means; or otherwise interact with us.

Protection of Users’ Personal Data

Dornoch Distillery Company is committed to processing Users’ Personal Data securely. We adopt appropriate data Processing practices, and appropriate technical and organisational security measures, to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of Personal Data. Users are responsible for keeping their access credentials for the Services safe and confidential. Users should notify Dornoch Distillery Company promptly if they become aware of any misuse of their access credentials, and immediately change their passwords. We provide a SSL secured communication channel, and all data transferred using this channel are encrypted and protected with appropriate digital signatures. However, Users should be aware that the Internet is not a secure environment for Personal Data. We cannot provide absolute assurances that Users’ Personal Data will be secure during transmission across the Internet. Any such transmission is entirely at Users’ own risk.

Disclosure of Users’ Personal Data

Dornoch Distillery Company may disclose Users’ Personal Data to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • We may share Users’ Personal Data with recipients within our organisation, for the purposes of operating our business, operating the Site, or the Services, or otherwise for the purposes set out in this Policy.

Users may withdraw their consent at any time, or object on legitimate grounds at any time to the Processing of their Personal Data, by contacting us via the Site, or by using the contact information provided in this Policy. We will apply Users’ contact preferences going forward. If Users make a payment via the Site, or the Services Users’ Personal Data may need to be provided to third parties (e.g., payment services providers) for the purposes of facilitating those payments.

Users may find advertising or other content on the Services that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by third party websites linked to or from the Site, App or Services. From time to time, we may contact Users via email or other electronic means, to provide information relating to products or services that may be of interest to those Users. If any User wishes to unsubscribe from receiving future communications, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions in each such communication. Alternatively, the User may use the unsubscribe features provided through the Services respectively. Please note that, in the event that a User unsubscribes from receiving communications relating to marketing or advertising, we may nevertheless continue to contact the User for the purposes of account administration, or as required by law.

Users’ rights

Acceptance of this Policy

Your use of the Site, and/or the Services is deemed acceptance of this Policy. Users who do not agree to the terms set out in this Policy, must not use the Site, and the Services.

Terms & conditions of sale

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd (“we”) makes its products available to you. We are registered in Scotland under company number SC442507 with our registered office at Burnfarm Steading, Killen, Avoch, IV9 8RQ.

All orders for goods placed by you via the online order form shall be deemed to be an offer by you, the buyer, to purchase goods pursuant to these terms and conditions. You, the buyer, shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided in your order and we will not be obliged to accept an order unless all details requested have been provided correctly.

You must be aged at least 18 years to purchase from Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd. In the UK it is illegal for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, alcohol for themselves or for any other person under the age of 18.


Prices

All prices are shown in GBP (British Pound). The total price we charge you for the goods in your order includes all applicable taxes payable in the UK. Prices shown on the site for any products or services offered are subject to change without notice. Any price changes will be notified and confirmed to you before despatch to give you the opportunity to cancel your order.

Prices shown for products on the site are not inclusive of delivery charge. You will be advised of the cost of delivery on the website at the time your order is accepted.

Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd reserves the right to alter the prices of the goods on offer online at any time without prior notice.


PAYMENT

All products offered are subject to availability and we cannot guarantee availability of the products listed.

If we are unable to fulfil your order we will contact you within 3 working days of receiving your order.

We use Stripe to accept payments allowing you to use your credit/debit card.

Your payment details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. You will be automatically charged for your order once your payment details have been accepted. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.


ACCEPTANCE

As all products and services are subject to availability, there will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually process and despatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason.


We can deliver to your home or work address, as you have entered it on the order. We cannot accept any liability if quoted address is incorrect or incomplete. Deliveries to work addresses shall be deemed successful if a representative at that address accepts and signs for the goods.

We will always do our best to fulfil your order as quickly as possible. We ship to our courier once a week due to the remote location of the Distillery. If your order is time specific please do contact us prior to ordering. If goods fail to arrive after 28 days from date of order, please notify us on info@dornochdistillery.com. We do our best to secure delivery within 28 days of the date of your order, but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.

In the event that the order is returned to us by the courier or otherwise due to non-delivery, Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd gives the purchaser the option of resending the purchase at the purchaser’s expense or refunding the purchase less the cost of postage and packing. We cannot deliver to PO boxes.
